Welcome to Loxley
We - Rachel, Bill, and Mel - warmly welcome you to Loxley!
We are delighted to open our doors for special public and private events to make use of this space that has memories for so many. Keep scrolling to see more about the Loxley journey…
Becoming Loxley
We got to work in earnest in June of 2024 to convert this building into an event space we could be proud of. We have been on an absolute shoestring of a budget. Many contractors prices were simply more than we could afford. So, as you’ll see in the video, we (Mel & Rachel) did a LOT of the work with our own four hands… Certainly there was a tremendous amount of initial cleaning we had to do, and…. tile removal, floor removal, drywalling, shiplap, painting, repainting, mopping, mopping, and more mopping….
I can’t speak for Rachel, but I personally never want to see a tile scraper/remover again for as long as I live!
For the work we couldn’t do, we are very grateful to the teams at Voyageur Design Build and Xpert Concrete for their hard work.
Thank You
To all of you who have come out to support our opening and very early events, we thank you. Thank you for supporting us as we get up and going and for extending your patience and grace as we work through some of the hiccups we encounter as we work towards smooth operations. We really appreciate you giving us a chance and supporting both a local businesses and local performing artists.
